No jargon. Honest answers.
Do I need to know coding or be technical?
Not at all. If you can open an app and type a message, you can use Scout. The install is one command you copy and paste — Scout does everything else and talks to you in plain English throughout.
What is Claude Code? Do I need a subscription?
Claude Code is an AI assistant that runs on your computer, made by Anthropic — the company behind Claude AI. Scout is a plugin that lives inside Claude Code. You install Claude Code once for free from
claude.ai/code. A Claude Pro account (~$20/month) gives Scout the best performance.
Will Scout apply to jobs I wouldn't want?
No. During setup you tell Scout exactly what you're looking for — job titles, locations, industries, and your minimum salary. Scout only applies to roles that match all your criteria. Nothing embarrassing gets sent.
What job boards does Scout search?
Scout searches 30+ sources across 6 groups simultaneously, every night — LinkedIn (including the Recommended and Top Applicant curated feeds), Indeed, Naukri, Wellfound, YC Jobs, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Hirist, iimjobs, Instahyre, Cutshort, Otta, and international boards in UAE, Singapore, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. Scout auto-applies to ATS portals (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday). Roles on login-walled boards get materials prepared and queued for your one-click review — nothing is wasted.
Will my resume be fabricated or changed without me knowing?
No. Certain things are locked and never touched: your job titles, employer names, employment dates, education degrees, and certifications. Scout only rewrites bullet descriptions and summary emphasis to match the job description — using your real experience, just framed differently. It never adds skills, credentials, or roles you don't have. Beyond that, every tailored resume is scored against the job description and must reach 95 out of 100 before Scout submits it. If it doesn't hit that bar, Scout keeps improving it — or flags it for your manual review rather than sending a weak application. Your original resume file is always preserved exactly as you uploaded it.
Is my personal data safe? Where does it go?
Everything runs on your own computer. Your resume, contact details, and application history never leave your machine. Scout uses your computer's internet connection to search boards and submit — the same as if you were doing it manually, just automated.
Can I try Scout before paying?
Yes. Your very first complete run is free — no credit card, no commitment. Scout will search all boards, score roles against your profile, and send real applications so you can see exactly what it does before you pay anything.
What if something goes wrong or an application fails?
Scout logs every attempt and every outcome. If a job board has a captcha or an unusual form, Scout skips it and notes it in your digest rather than guessing. Your morning report tells you exactly what happened — nothing happens in the dark.
How does Scout compare to LoopCV, LazyApply, and JobCopilot?
Scout is cheaper than all three — ₹499/month vs LoopCV's ₹900/month, LazyApply's ₹700/month, and JobCopilot's ₹1,600/month. Scout also covers Indian job boards (Naukri, iimjobs, Hirist) that none of the others support, tailors your resume for every application instead of blasting the same CV, and runs on your own computer rather than sending your data to the cloud.

Does Scout work for job search in Bangalore, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and other Indian cities?
Yes. Scout searches Naukri, LinkedIn India, iimjobs, Hirist, and more for jobs in Bangalore, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, and all major cities. You set your location preferences during setup, and Scout only applies to roles matching your criteria.
How do I apply to jobs automatically in India?
Use Scout by AgentCo — install with one command in your terminal: curl -fsSL https://agentco.in/install.sh | bash. Scout searches 30+ sources including Naukri, LinkedIn, iimjobs, Hirist, and Indeed every night, scores each role against your profile, rewrites your resume and writes a cover letter per job description, and submits applications automatically — all from your own computer. Your first complete run is free.
Does Scout search for jobs outside India?
Yes. Scout includes a dedicated international search group covering UAE/Dubai, Singapore, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands — all markets with strong demand for Indian professionals and clear immigration pathways. These boards run in parallel with India boards on every search run. International roles are flagged separately in your morning digest so you can decide which to pursue.
Does Scout write cover letters?
Yes. For every role you're a strong match for (score ≥70), Scout writes a personalised cover letter referencing the specific company, role requirements, and your relevant experience. It's saved as a PDF alongside your tailored resume. For roles in the materials tier (score 60–69), Scout prepares both documents and queues them for your quick review before applying.
What commands does Scout have?
Scout has five commands you type in Claude Code: /scout-setup — first-time setup (license, profile, preferences); /scout-run — full search, tailoring, and application run; /scout-search — search and score roles without applying, so you can preview before committing; /scout-apply — apply from your review queue (roles with materials prepared and waiting); /scout-status — see your run history, application count, and next scheduled run.
I was just laid off — how quickly can Scout help me?
Scout can be running tonight. Install takes one command and setup takes about 3 minutes. That same night, Scout searches 30+ sources including Naukri, LinkedIn, and iimjobs, scores every matching role, tailors your resume, writes a cover letter, and submits — while you sleep. Many users wake up to 20–40 applications already sent on day one. The first run is completely free, no credit card needed. If you've received a layoff letter, you also qualify for
50% off all plans.
Can Scout find jobs at companies that are still actively hiring?
Yes — Scout searches live job boards every night, so it only finds roles that are actively posted. It doesn't recycle stale listings. During a layoff period, companies that are hiring often post quietly on Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby — boards most people don't manually check. Scout covers all of them simultaneously.
I'm worried about applying to too many roles and looking desperate — does Scout handle this?
Scout only applies where you're genuinely a fit. You set your minimum match threshold during setup, and Scout skips anything below it. Every application goes out with a personalised resume and cover letter — not a mass blast. Hiring managers can't tell the difference between a Scout application and one you wrote yourself. Quality is never sacrificed for volume.
How do I get started — is there a one-command install?
Yes. Open your terminal and run:
curl -fsSL https://agentco.in/install.sh | bashScout installs everything and guides you through setup. You need
Node.js and
Claude Code — the installer checks for these and helps if they're missing.
