AI Use Policy

Scout uses AI (specifically, Anthropic's Claude via Claude Code) to automate job searching, resume tailoring, and application submission. This policy explains exactly how AI is used and the hard limits we impose.
Core principle: Scout uses AI to do more of what you would do yourself — faster. It does not use AI to fabricate qualifications, deceive employers, or act in ways that misrepresent you.
What AI does in Scout
- Job scoring: AI evaluates each role against your profile and scores it 0–100 based on title match, location, salary, and experience fit.
- Resume tailoring: AI reorders and rewords your existing resume to emphasise the most relevant experience for each job description. It uses language from the JD where it truthfully reflects your background.
- Cover letter generation: AI writes cover letters using your profile, the job description, and (for deep-tier roles) publicly available information about the company.
- Screener answer generation: AI generates likely answers to application screener questions based on your actual experience.
- Application submission: AI navigates job board forms and submits your prepared materials.
Hard limits — what AI will never do
- No fabrication. AI will not add skills, degrees, job titles, or work experience that do not exist in your profile. This is a hard rule enforced in Scout's instructions.
- No sensitive data entry. AI will never enter bank account details, national ID numbers, Aadhaar, PAN, tax IDs, or biometric information into any form.
- No CAPTCHA bypass. If a platform detects automated activity and presents a CAPTCHA, Scout skips that application and logs it. We do not attempt to bypass security measures.
- No duplicate applications. Scout checks your application history before every submission to prevent applying to the same role twice.
AI transparency
Every application submitted by Scout is logged in your local digest. You can review what was submitted, how the resume was tailored, and what cover letter was used. Nothing happens in the dark.
Underlying AI model
Scout uses Claude Code (by Anthropic) as its AI runtime. Scout's intelligence is delivered through a set of skill and command files that instruct Claude how to search, score, tailor, and apply. Your resume and profile data are processed locally by Claude Code on your machine — they are not sent to AgentCo.
Anthropic's use of data processed through Claude Code is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing your profile before running Scout and ensuring it is accurate. While Scout enforces a no-fabrication rule, you are ultimately responsible for the truthfulness of all job applications submitted on your behalf.
