What an employer can see about you

• Your match score for that one job, from 0 to 100.
• The job title you applied under.
• Your city, if we recognise it. If we do not recognise it, the field is left blank.
• Your experience as a band, such as 3-6 years. Never the exact number.
• The date you applied.

• Your name.
• Your email address and your phone number.
• Your LinkedIn link, if you gave us one.
• The resume Scout tailored for that job and sent on your behalf.
• The written reasoning behind your match score.
• That reasoning can repeat what you told Scout, such as your exact years of experience or the salary you asked for.

• No employer can search for you.
• You appear to a company only after you apply to that company.
• No employer sees a job you applied to anywhere else.
• The only match score an employer sees is the one for their own job.
• No employer sees the companies you told Scout to avoid.
• We never sell your details, and we never pass them to anyone you did not apply to.

Turning it on and off

• It starts off. Until you turn it on, no employer sees who you are.
• You turn it on yourself, in Settings. Nothing else turns it on for you.
• It covers only employers whose jobs you applied to through Scout.
• You turn it off in the same place, with one click, and it takes effect straight away.
• Turning it off is exactly as easy as turning it on. That is deliberate.

What turning it off cannot do

• After you turn it off, your application stays in that employer list as an anonymous entry.
• They still see a score and a city there. They no longer see anything that identifies you.
• Turning it off does not withdraw an application you already sent.
• An employer who already opened your resume may have kept a copy. We can stop new access, we cannot un-send it.

• A role Scout queued for you and you never opened is marked expired after 30 days.
• A role Scout scored and decided to skip is deleted after 30 days.
• A role you never applied to is deleted after 90 days.
• An application you actually sent is kept.
• It is your own record of where you applied, and Scout reads it so it never applies to the same role twice.
• The tailored resume and cover letter for a sent application are deleted from our storage after 90 days.
• What is left after that is the company, the role, the date and whether you heard back.
• Deleting your account deletes all of it, including applications you sent.

The three steps

• Open Settings and stay on the Profile tab.
• Scroll to Account and press Delete account and data.
• Type DELETE to confirm, then press Delete forever.

What that removes

• Your profile, including your name, phone number and LinkedIn link.
• Your uploaded resume, and every tailored resume and cover letter Scout made for you.
• Every application record, every run and every match score.
• Your account itself, which ends any employer visibility at the same moment.

Worth knowing first

• An active subscription is cancelled at the same time, and there is no refund for the rest of the month.
• Backups are purged within 30 days.
• An employer who already downloaded your resume may still hold their own copy. We cannot reach into their files.
• If the button fails, email hello@agentco.in and we will delete it for you.
