An Anthropic API key lets you call Claude AI directly. Get one free at console.anthropic.com — add a small credit (₹500 covers roughly 1,000 tailorings at the recommended default price). Your key is stored locally in Chrome. AgentCo never sees it.
With your own Anthropic API key: your resume is stored only in your browser's local storage, and when you hit Tailor it goes straight to Anthropic's API — AgentCo's servers never receive it or your key. With managed credits: tailoring runs through AgentCo's server (using AgentCo's own Anthropic key) so we can meter usage, but the resume text is not stored on our servers.
The extension is free. You pay Anthropic directly, based on whichever model you pick in your key settings:
- Budget option — about ₹0.07 per tailoring · built for high volume
- Recommended default — about ₹0.50 per tailoring · best quality/cost balance
- Maximum-quality option — about ₹4 per tailoring
