What myjobb gets right

myjobb’s convenience story is genuinely strong. It’s a cloud agent — your laptop can be closed while it works. Its free tier is real: 10 auto-applies and 3 resume builds a month with no card. Its pricing page advertises "No auto-renew" with UPI support and even weekly billing, which is unusually customer-friendly for this category. It covers Foundit, which Scout doesn’t. And it bundles things Scout doesn’t attempt, like referral requests at 2–10 companies and cold-email sequences. At ₹499/month for the Plus tier, that’s a lot of surface area for the money.

The submission model — and why we’d ask about it

Here’s the architectural difference that the pricing pages don’t show. myjobb’s homepage says it "applies the moment one fits you" — a cloud agent acting on your behalf. What its site doesn’t explain, as of today, is the mechanics: whether applications go through your Naukri/LinkedIn account or its own channels, where your resume and credentials live, and what exactly was sent for each application. Those may all have fine answers — but they aren’t published, and for something applying to employers under your name, we think they should be.

Scout takes the opposite bet. The plugin runs inside Claude Code on your own machine: searches, tailoring, and submissions happen from your side, resume tailoring stays local on the Claude Code host (the Copilot CLI host sends resume text to AgentCo’s servers for that step — we say so), and the plugin’s TRANSPARENCY.md documents the full data flow. Every tailored resume and application sits on your disk where you can read it. The honest cost of that model: your laptop stays on while Scout runs overnight, and auto-apply needs a Claude Pro subscription. Control isn’t free — but it is inspectable.

Scout’s loop is specific and shared: read the full JD, rewrite summary, skills, and bullets to match it, score the result against the JD, and re-tailor until the score clears 95 — then write a cover letter for that role.
