Most job-tool pricing pages hide at least one number. This post is the opposite: every Scout price, what each one actually buys, the one cost that is not ours but that you will pay anyway, and the discount for people who need it most. Everything here matches the live pricing page — if it ever does not, the pricing page wins and you should email us.
The full price list
| What | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Scout Web preview | Free | 2 discovery runs: Scout searches the boards and scores every match against your profile, 0–100 with reasons. No card required. |
| MCP connector | Free | Search and score jobs from inside ChatGPT or Claude — no signup, no API key. Details at /connect. |
| Web tailoring session | ₹299 one-time | Tailors your resume for every matched role in one run on Scout Web. |
| Extension credit bundle | ₹399 one-time | 50 Chrome extension credits (about ₹8 per credit). 1 credit = tailored resume + cover letter for one job page. |
| Monthly subscription | ₹599/month | The plugin (overnight auto-apply on your machine), plus 2 web tailoring sessions and 25 extension credits every billing period. |
| Layoff cohort | ₹479/month | The same subscription at 20% off, for verified laid-off members. |
Three notes on the free row, because "free" is where job tools usually cheat. First, the two Scout Web previews are full discovery runs with real scores and reasons — not blurred results behind an email gate — and web signup grants no tailoring credits, so nothing expires on you. Second, the Chrome extension comes with two starter credits when you connect your account, enough to see a real tailored resume and cover letter before spending ₹399. Third, the MCP connector uses the same scorer as the paid product — it is a genuine free tier, rate-limited per hour rather than crippled (setup steps in search jobs inside ChatGPT or Claude).
What the ₹599 subscription actually includes
The subscription is the "whole product" tier. Per billing period you get:
- The plugin for Claude Code or GitHub Copilot CLI — Scout searches 30+ boards (Naukri, LinkedIn, iimjobs, Hirist, Instahyre, Indeed, plus ATS boards like Lever, Ashby, and Greenhouse and international boards), scores every role, tailors your resume per job description, and submits applications. Runs happen overnight on your own machine — your laptop stays on.
- 2 web tailoring sessions — the same ₹299 product, included.
- 25 Chrome extension credits — for tailoring on job pages you find yourself.
Cancel any time; it is a standard Razorpay subscription. Existing subscribers stay on the price they originally signed up at.
The cost that isn't ours: Claude Pro
Here is the number most tools in this category would bury. The plugin runs inside Claude Code, and Claude Code needs a Claude Pro subscription — roughly ₹1,700/month, paid to Anthropic, not to us. (GitHub Copilot CLI is the alternative host.) So the honest all-in cost of overnight auto-apply is about ₹2,300/month: ₹599 to Scout, ~₹1,700 to Anthropic. We disclose this on the plugin page, at checkout, and on the pricing card, because a customer who discovers a hidden ₹1,700 after paying ₹599 is a customer we deserve to lose.
If you already pay for Claude Pro — many people do, for work — the marginal cost of Scout auto-apply really is ₹599. If you do not want Claude Pro at all, the ₹299 web session and the ₹399 extension bundle work with no Claude subscription, and there is a full walkthrough in Scout without Claude.
The ₹479 layoff price — who qualifies and how to claim it
If you have been laid off, the subscription costs ₹479/month instead of ₹599 — 20% off, on its own billing plan, for the same full product. To claim it: go to agentco.in/#layoff and upload your layoff or termination letter, or paste its text if you prefer. The letter is checked once for verification and is never written to our database or storage — that promise is in the privacy policy, next to the upload button. There is a longer companion guide in job search after a layoff in India.
The 7-day money-back policy
A first-time monthly subscription is refundable in full within 7 days of the first charge, once per customer. It is written into the terms and payment terms. Practically: subscribe, run Scout for a week, and if the applications it sends are not worth ₹599 to you, one email gets your money back.
How this compares to alternatives
India-priced rivals cluster around the same anchor. FastApply's India page, checked today, says its paid plans "start at ₹499/month." Global tools like LazyApply and JobCopilot price in dollars, which lands at similar or higher rupee amounts — and most of them do not cover Naukri or iimjobs at all. Scout's ₹599 is at the top of the India band, and the difference is what it buys: per-JD resume tailoring, coverage of the boards Indian hiring actually happens on, and the honesty artifacts (score reasons, a morning digest, a per-endpoint data disclosure) covered in is Scout legit?. Detailed head-to-heads: Scout vs LazyApply and Scout vs JobCopilot.
For employers
Scout also has an employer side: posting a job is free, and the launch tier stays free until Scout has actually delivered value (scored applications), not until a timer runs out. Paid employer plans exist for teams that need more jobs and seats — details on the site.
Which tier should you pick?
- Just exploring: the free previews on Scout Web or the free connector. Spend nothing.
- One big application push: the ₹299 web session — tailor everything Scout matched, once.
- You browse boards yourself: the ₹399/50-credit extension bundle.
- Actively searching, want volume: the ₹599 subscription (₹479 if laid off) — with the ~₹1,700 Claude Pro cost in your budget, and the 7-day refund as your safety net.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Scout cost per month?
The subscription is ₹599/month (₹479/month for the verified layoff cohort). It includes the plugin for overnight auto-apply, 2 web tailoring sessions, and 25 Chrome extension credits per billing period. One-time options exist too: ₹299 for a web tailoring session and ₹399 for 50 extension credits. Discovery and scoring are free to preview.
Do I need to pay for anything besides Scout?
Only if you want auto-apply. The plugin runs inside Claude Code, which requires a Claude Pro subscription of roughly ₹1,700/month paid to Anthropic (or GitHub Copilot CLI as an alternative host). So realistic all-in for auto-apply is about ₹2,300/month. The web tailoring session, extension credits, and free previews need no Claude Pro.
Who qualifies for the ₹479 layoff price?
Anyone who has been laid off and can show a layoff or termination letter. Upload or paste the letter at agentco.in/#layoff; it is checked once for verification and never stored. Verified members pay ₹479/month — 20% off — for the same full subscription.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes — a first-time monthly subscription is refundable in full within 7 days of the first charge, once per customer. It is written into the terms and payment terms, so trying the subscription is close to risk-free for the first week.
What can I use without paying anything?
Three things: two discovery-and-score preview runs on Scout Web (no card needed), the free MCP connector that lets ChatGPT or Claude search jobs and score them (no signup at all), and two starter credits when you set up the Chrome extension.
